Kathy Bowers

Kathy Bowers is an energetic and dramatic speaker who combines humor, heavily doused with “southernese,” and her life experiences to uplift women. Her passion to see other women embrace Jesus as their Savior and Lord, know new life, see through new eyes, love with a mended heart as they walk daily hand in hand with Him is seen in her speaking and her daily life. She desires to give encouragement to all women, especially those who are hurting and/or struggling, and to point them to the One who longs to know them intimately and who can heal their wounded and weary hearts.

Kathy was born and raised in Texas. She now resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, Robert. She is the mother of two children, Clifton and Michelle, and three grandchildren, Caleb, Savannah, Gabriel, and Katherine. Not liking to sit still long, Kathy is involved in her church as the Women's Ministry Leader, Women's Book Club Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Her passion for writing began at the age of seventeen with her first poem and broadened at the ripe old age of 38 when she began to write dramas for the Vacation Bible School program at her church. Kathy has an Associates Degree in “Life in the Pit” followed by a Bachelor's Degree in “Amazing Grace,” which led her to a Master's Degree in “Christ's Redeeming Love.”

In her somewhat spare time, she enjoys decorating, crafts, music, reading, writing and spending time with her family. Her book titled, “Spiritual Laxative for the Constipated Soul,” incorporates humorous and sometimes painful anecdotes from her life experiences combined with all-knowing wisdom taken from the love letters so painstakingly written by our Heavenly Father. “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power, together, with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19).

  • I Danced Until I was Plum Tuckered (The Dance):
    Life is a dance! Some of us are doing the Tango, while others are doing the Twist. Some of us may have found ourselves sitting on the dance floor, head in our hands, weeping and wailing, while the “Achy Breaky” plays on, and “us” without dance lessons. I have learned that it no longer matters what dance I may find myself in, what matters is who is doing the leading. In this conference, women will be invited to sign up for free dance lessons with the perfecter of the dance.

  • Up the Creek without a Paddle (Stepping beyond Fear):
    Fear keeps us from experiencing the abundant life God wants for each and every one of us. Fear keeps us standing in the muck and mire of a deep and watery pit so focused on the sinking feeling in the pit of our stomachs that we are oblivious to the strong rope of strength and hope that dangles in front of our very eyes. In this conference, women will be encouraged to step beyond their fears and reach out for the lifeline that will never weaken nor fail.

  • If You Sneeze Without Tissues You Take Matters Into Your Own Hands
    We think that being content means being happy! Being content in all circumstances means that we recognize the One that holds us amidst the things of this world. For us to have a victorious life in Him we have to set our heart and mind on things above. God's word says the heart is deceitful and the mind is to be continually renewed. What if that doesn't happen? Trust me it can get messy! In this conference women will be challenged to look at the attitudes of their heart and mind.

  • You Don't Throw the Baby Out With the Bath Water
    Does maturing in our walk with the Lord mean that we become so ripe that childlike faith is considered impossible. We are asked to give up our childish ways, but to come to the Lord as a child. What does that mean? In this conference women will be inspired to view life through the eyes of a child. To once again walk with HIm as children who have faith that sees beyond the impossible and the unthinkable.
