Lisa I. Hiestand

Lisa is 42-years-old and was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She has been married for seventeen years. She is a mother of three children; John, Grace, and Emily. She has been a stay-at-home mother for the past thirteen years. She resides with her family in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Lisa enjoys vacations at the beach, working with children, art, reading, decorating and designing.

Lisa has a BA degree in Psychology from Chaminade University, Honolulu, Hawaii. She has counseled women professionally and in ministry for over twenty years. This past year she has been working as a substitute for support staff in her children's school.

Lisa has a passion to improve the lives of women and children around her. This passion has led her to write “Letters from the Heart”. Lisa believes God has called her into a ministry of inspirational speaking. She comes out of a childhood of loss (the loss of her mother and sibling in a tragic accident), and abuse. This difficult childhood has developed in her a great passion to help people move forward in their lives. She plans on combining her education, counseling experience, as well as her gifts (encouragement, mercy, and exhortation) in seminars for women. Lisa has a great desire to see women live whole and victorious lives, in Jesus Christ. She believes her life story is a testimony of God's goodness.

Topics

  • Forgiving and Walking in Freedom:
In this conference, women are confronted/challenged about the need to forgive in order to move forward in their Christian life. Women are given the opportunity to pray through issues of unforgiveness in their lives.

  • Is Your Life a Letter from Your Heart?
In this conference, women are challenged to make every day count for God's kingdom. Women are also challenged to evaluate and make sure they are a blessing to those around them or under their care.

  • The Empty Christian Woman in Today's Society:
In this conference, women are challenged on how they speak, act, and dress, according to God's word. It addresses the need for women to be filled by God rather than things offered by our society.

  • Completely Whole:
In this conference, women are educated from God's word and encouraged to view themselves completely whole, just as Christ sees them. Women are challenged to find their identity in Christ rather than the difficulties they have endured.
